Max Keiser: ‘America will lose its sovereignty’

Source: RT/Youtube
The countdown to armadebtdon carries on and we are just 3 days away from the debt ceiling deadline. If a discussion is not reached will the US lose its AAA rating? The problem is we are not taking in enough revenue to continue spending like we are. Max Keiser of Keiser Report gives us his insight on what that means to the US.

Fighting back against the CIA drone war

Source: english.aljazeera.net
US Predator drones have played a large role in the CIA’s extrajudicial killing program in Pakistan, where some 2,500 people in Pakistan, mostly civilians, have been killed by US forces since June 2004

They call it “bug splat”, the splotch of blood, bones, and viscera that marks the site of a successful drone strike. To those manning the consoles in Nevada, it signifies “suspected militants” who have just been “neutralised”; to those on the ground, in most cases, it represents a family that has been shattered, a home destroyed.

Since June 18, 2004, when the CIA began its policy of extrajudicial killings in Pakistan, it has left nearly 250 such stains on Pakistani soil, daubed with the remains of more than 2,500 individuals, mostly civilians. More recently, it has taken to decorating other parts of the world.

Since the Pakistani government and its shadowy intelligence agencies have been complicit in the killings, the CIA has been able to do all this with complete impunity. Major human rights organisations in thrall to the Obama Administration have given it a pass. So have the media, who uncritically accept officials’ claims about the accuracy of their lethal toys.

Norway’s mass murder and the mass media – Listening Post

Source: english.aljazeera.net
Media speculation and guesswork in the aftermath of the Norway attacks; and a one-on-one with Murdoch’s biographer.

When news of a bomb blast and shooting first broke in Norway, media organisations the world over were quick to suggest that the people behind the attacks were Islamic terrorists. Even when the facts were hazy, security experts ‘analysed’, editorials speculated and front pages questioned why Islamic groups would want to attack Norway.

Then, when the perpetrator turned out to be a white, anti–Muslim Christian, news outlets were quick to replace the word terrorist with extremist.

Four dead, 19 injured in clash in Egypt’s Sinai

Source: reuters.com
An Egyptian army officer and three civilian bystanders were shot dead in fighting between an armed group and security forces in northern Sinai, security sources said on Saturday.

About 100 armed men rode through the town of el-Arish on Friday on motorcycles and in cars, waving flags with Islamic slogans and firing in the air, Sinai security sources said.

They then attacked a police station, engaging in a shootout with the police and army in which the army officer died.

Why China is Laughing All the Way to the Bank

Source: truthdig.com

The global impact of the American debt crisis—and the likelihood of permanent damage to American interests—are already visible to Sen. John Kerry, D-Mass., from his perch as chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. Indeed, he is not only seeing but hearing those effects.

“The Chinese are laughing all the way to the bank,” said the former Democratic presidential nominee, because a downgrading of U.S. Treasury securities will mean enormous and completely unnecessary increases in our interest payments to the nation’s largest creditor—and our most important competitor in the international arena.

How The Two-Party Oligarchy Uses The Democrat Vs Republican Charade To Loot The US

Source: daviddegraw.org
First a note on the use of hyperbole: People often think I’m using hyperbole when I talk about “financial terrorism,” our descent into “neo-feudalism,” the “two-Party oligarchy,” our confirmed “banana republic” status or the fact that President Obama is a “bankster puppet.” I’m aware that most people will think I’m being overly extreme, but in these extreme times, all these terms are technical descriptions of our unfortunate political reality. Career wise, I would be better off, over the short-term, if I censored this harsh reality and used more delicate language, but I’m not interested in making a career out of this, or being accepted into some status quo supporting groupthink organization. I’m here to sound the alarm. So I have much respect for people who are also speaking bold truth to power, whatever the consequences may be. Fortunately, more people are starting to speak up.

Polarbeargate?

Source: blogs.telegraph.co.uk
Polarbeargate could become the new Climategate. The global warming alarmist movement is completely discredited – but there’s startling new evidence that man-made climate change is threatening to wipe penguins off the face of the earth, that is if you are suckered by Al Gore’s cartoonish, mindless, baseless propaganda.
